Information collected on this website

Information you give us

This website has no contact form, newsletter sign-up or customer account. If you call, text or message on Instagram, we hold whatever you send us in order to reply and to manage your appointment.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and security software records standard technical information when a page is requested, including IP address, browser type, device type, the page requested and the time. This is used to keep the site running, to prevent abuse, and to understand which pages are useful.

Cookies

We use a small number of functional cookies and similar browser storage:

• Caching — used by our hosting to serve pages faster.
• Promotional notice — we store a single value in your browser so a promotional message behaves sensibly across pages. It contains no personal information and never leaves your device.
• WordPress — functional cookies if you log in as an administrator. This does not apply to visitors.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. The site works normally without them.

Booking and payments

Appointments and deposits are handled by GlossGenius. When you click any booking link you leave this website. The name, email address, phone number and payment details you enter are collected and stored by GlossGenius, not by this website, and are covered by their privacy policy and terms. Ashley can see your appointment history and contact details through her GlossGenius account in order to run the business.

Other services we use

• Google Search Console — aggregated data about search terms that lead to this site. It does not identify individuals.
• Instagram — we link to our profile. Following a link means Meta may collect information under their own policy.
• Our web host — stores the website and its server logs.

Marketing messages

We only send appointment reminders and marketing messages to clients who have given consent, usually when booking. Every marketing message includes a way to stop receiving them, and you can ask us to remove you at any time by calling, texting or messaging.

How long information is kept

Client and appointment records are kept for as long as needed to run the business and to meet tax and record-keeping requirements. Server logs are kept for a short period. You can ask us to delete your client record at any time, subject to any records we are required to keep.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you marketing. Contact us using the details above and we will respond as quickly as we reasonably can. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Clients under 18 require a parent or guardian to consent to treatment.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
