Retention comes down to the first 24 hours and your daily routine. Here is everything, in one place.
FIRST 24 HOURS
Straight after your appointment
- Keep extensions completely dry for the first 24 hours — no showers on your face, no steam, no sweating.
- No mascara, no eyeliner on the lash line, no oil-based products.
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms and hot yoga for the first day.
- Sleep on your back if you can, at least for the first night.
- For a lash lift or tint, the same 24 hours applies: keep them dry and makeup-free.
EVERY DAY
Keeping them looking new
- Cleanse your lashes daily with a lash-safe foaming cleanser — dirty lashes shed faster.
- Brush them through with a spoolie each morning.
- Skip oil-based cleansers, makeup removers and heavy eye creams.
- Do not pick, pull or twist the extensions. If one is bothering you, book a removal.
- Avoid waterproof mascara entirely.
- Book fills every two to three weeks rather than waiting until they are sparse.

Frequently asked
How long does a full set take?
Around two hours for classic, a little longer for hybrid and volume since the fans are made by hand.
How often do I need fills?
Every two to three weeks. Past four weeks it is usually priced as a new set, since too little is left to build on.
Will extensions ruin my natural lashes?
Not when applied correctly. One extension per natural lash, with weight matched to what that lash can carry.
Can I wear makeup?
Eyeshadow and brow products are fine. Avoid mascara, liner along the lash line, and anything oil-based.
What if I have sensitive eyes?
Say so when you book. Sensitive adhesive options are available, and patch testing can be done before any colour service.
Do I need a patch test?
For tinting and permanent makeup, yes, and it is strongly recommended if you have reacted to anything before.
What if one falls out early?
Some shedding is normal — you lose natural lashes daily. If several go in the first few days, message Ashley.
Do you take deposits?
Yes, on most services. It comes straight off the price of your appointment.
